Rob “The Rabbit” Pitts, 1979 – 2024

Reality-TV star Rob Pitts, 45, died of stomach cancer on August 25. Pitts costarred on NetFlix’s Tex Mex Motors, which followed the adventures of a group of El Paso car repair and restoration people. The South Carolina native was CEO of Pitts Truck Service, and owned Rabbit’s Used Cars (he also starred in a reality series of that name); he first came to public notice via his YouTube channel, and was snapped up by NetFlix. In a goodbye social media post, Pitts wrote, “Don’t be sad for me. I accomplished my dream of buying my own store, filming Season 2 of Netflix, and marrying the love of my life.”
