Rock singer Peter Forrest, who performed as P. Fluid (not to be confused with female singer Fluid P.) was found beaten to death in an ambulance in the Bronx on Jan. 13. He was 64; police are still investigating his murder. Forrest was a lead singer for the band 24-7 Spyz, a band which formed in the late ’80s and was variously described as hard rock, heavy metal, funk metal, and rap metal, with touches of Motown and soul. Among their popular numbers were “Grandma Dynamite,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Don’t Break My Heart,” and “Stuntman.” Forrest also performed with the P. Fluid Foundation and—as “Forrest Thinner”—with BlkVampires. “I have been a singer for many years and into all styles of music,” Forrest said in 2018. Of his future projects, he said, “I’ll just be doing some dark James Bond/David bowie grown-up man sexy DOPE shyt! A lot of people like my vocal stylings so imma SANG to them.”
