Japanese actress Noriko Ohara, 88, died on July 12. Born in Tokyo, Ohara was best known for her voice-overs in films, TV and video games: Nobita in the Doraemon TV series, Conan in Future Boy Conan, Doronjo in the Yatterman series, Peter in Heidi - A Girl of the Alps, Oyuki in the Urusei Yatsura series, both the hero Hiyoshi Gō and the villain Ri Katherine in Voltes V. From 1960 through last year, Ohara also appeared in a number of films and TV shows. Her son Atsuo Tobe is an animator.
