Morgan Lofting, 1949 – 2024

Voice actress Morgan Lofting, 84, died on Nov. 27. She most famously voiced the evil Baroness on the G.I. Joe TV series and movies, from 1983-91. She also provided voices for Spider-Man, Transformers, Star Blazers, Jem, and Quack Pack. Also an “in-person” actress, she had roles in The Junkman, Joysticks, Trapper John M.D., Finder of Lost Loves, Hotel, and Knots Landing. Of her gig as the Baroness, she said, “You take your money, and you go home, and then 30 years later someone says, ‘Hi, I want you to meet my spouse and my children, and you were so important to me when I was growing up.’ You begin to realize that these characters help people through their lives.”
