Julio Medina, a Colombian actor who also found success in Hollywood, died on Nov. 23. He was 91. Born in Chiquinquirá, Medina moved to the US in 1954, and was soon acting with the Pasadena Playhouse. From 1965-90, he played small or supporting roles in numerous moves (Zoot Suit, Latino, Little Nikita) and TV shows (I Dream of Jeannie, The Partridge Family, Mod Squad, Wonder Woman, Dallas). After he moved back to Colombia, Medina had a long career in movies and TV, playing recurring roles in En Cuerpo Ajeno, Prisoneros del Amor, Zorro, and Kdabra). After retiring, he retreated to a small town, and never married. “I’ve had friends, very beautiful friends,” Medina said. “But marriage?! Not even for the devil.”
