John Lasell, 1928 – 2024

Actor John Lasell, 95, died on Oct. 4. From the 1960s-80s, Lasell appeared in numerous TV shows and a handful of movies. His only continuing role was as vampire-hunter Dr. Peter Guthrie in the camp horror soap Dark Shadows. Lasell was also seen in As the World Turns, The Twilight Zone (as John Wilkes Booth in the one where Russell Johnson tries to stop the Lincoln assassination) Wagon Train, Hazel, Route 66, Flipper, Perry Mason, Mission: Impossible, Night Gallery, Mannix, and Dallas. Lasell was married three times, including to actress Patricia Smith.
