Jacques Boudet, 1935 – 2024

French stage and screen actor Jacques Boudet, 89, died on July 15. Onstage, he appeared in everything from the classics (Shakespeare, Molière) to the moderns (Pinter, Orton). He acted in 20 films or TV shows directed by Robert Guédiguian, and between 1966 and this year he made nearly 200 film and TV appearances (including Churchill and the Generals—as De Gaulle—Dead Certain, Swann in Love, La Femme Nikita, The Return of Casanova, Les Miserables, Sapho, Maigret, and Lady Jane).
