Drummer and actor Jack Cameron White, 70, died on July 17. He backed such artists as Ike and Tina Turner and Rick Springfield, and acted in Sons of Anarchy, Nashville, and The Senator. White was married to actress Katey Sagal from 1993-2000. Their son, actor Jackson White, wrote, “He was an open book, a fighter, genuinely the funniest person my sister and I knew, and single-handedly invented the loudest, most powerful backbeat of any drummer I’ve ever seen . . . we get to remember him, 6 foot 4 with a denim shirt and a Starbucks muffin, driving us around, teaching us every important song ever written.”
