Italian actor and stuntman Giovanni Cianfriglia (sometimes billed as Ken Wood), 89, died on Oct. 30. The frequent stunt double for Steve Reeves in sword & sandal pics, Cianfriglia was still doing stunts as recently as 2016’s Zoolander 2. He did stunt work on countless spaghetti westerns and such delightfully titled films as Goliath and the Vampires, Massacre Mania, and Super Stooges vs. the Wonder Women. Cianfriglia also acted in more than 130 films and TV series (mostly small roles in such fare as Morgan the Pirate, Duel of the Titans, Ringo and His Golden Pistol, The Unholy Four, The Italian Connection, Rent-a-Cop, and Gangs of New York). His brother, Domenico Cianfriglia, was also a stuntman and actor.
