French actress and singer Geneviève Grad, 80, died on Nov. 8. Grad played the lead detective’s daughter in the first three Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez kooky sex and caper comedies (1964-68). The native Parisienne worked in films and TV from the 1960s-80s, in such projects as The Centurion, Attack of the Normans, Arsène Lupin contre Arsène Lupin, The Beast of Babylon Against the Son of Hercules, Le Maestro, and her 1983 swan song—another caper comedy—Ça va pas être Triste. Grad is survived by her husband (since 1993), Jean Guillaume, and a son, by colorfully bizarre TV producer and presenter Igor Bogdanoff.
