American Pickers cohost Frank Fritz, 60-ish, died on Sept. 30. He and Mike Wolfe cohosted the show from 2010 till Fritz’s health began to fail in 2021. Fritz also appeared on American Restoration, Pawn Stars, and (as himself) American Dad! His cohost Wolfe posted, “Before the show we would take off together to places we never knew existed with no destination in mind and just the shared passion to discover something interesting and historic. I love you buddy and will miss you so much I know your [sic] in a better place.” As an antiques enthusiast, I tuned in when American Pickers debuted, but found it (at least in its first season) to be two Mr. Haneys fast-talking rubes out of their valuables. I switched back to Antiques Roadshow (and, OK, Hoarders, because I am a terrible person). UPDATE: In an effort to be fair, I just watched some recent episodes of American Pickers, and it has definitely improved since those first ones I'd seen. So I take back my snarky remarks!
