Actor Bruce Glover—father of Crispin Glover—has died, his family announced on March 29. He was 92. The Chicago native held various odd jobs (including dressing like a gorilla and tossing a stripper around), till serving in Korea. Acting took over his life thereafter—Glover appeared on Broadway in Night of the Iguana, Mother Courage and Her Children, and The Lion in Winter. From the late ’50s till the early 2020s, he appeared in such movies and TV shows as Car 54 Where Are You?, Who Killed Teddy Bear, Perry Mason, My Favorite Martian, The Thomas Crown Affair, Mission: Impossible, Chinatown, Barney Miller, and Murder She Wrote. He also appeared in a lot of trash, but had fun anyway: “Sometimes the best thing you could do is a real bad film,” he said. “You could improvise all over the place and probably only improve the script.”
